Moarri – a Sámi word for ‘Sharp, non-bearing crust which may damage reindeer feet’
The Moarri project was opened in 2010 to create software system for snow-profiles (snow pits). That time some parts were written in Java. Up to 2017 some early-alpha-stage libraries and Netbeans based application were developed. In 2017, developer made a decision to switch to Python language.
The main features:
- IACS compliant coding of snow types, hardness, liquid water content etc.
- CAAML compliant structure, import, export to xml CAAML files

Main library consists of modules to read, write, make images of profile and some basic command line applications.
